Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Vidhyagram ("we", "us") runs this online learning platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.
- Payment records: the amount, date, status and Razorpay payment reference of each subscription payment, and any payment screenshot you upload for a manual UPI payment. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
- Learning activity: the courses you enrol in, modules completed, where you stopped in each video, assessment answers and scores, ratings and reviews.
- Certificates: the name you choose to print on certificates, the courses completed and the issue dates.
- Support requests: the messages you send us through Support.
Why we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
- To activate your subscription, issue invoices or receipts, and keep accounting records required by law.
- To track your progress, resume videos where you left off, run assessments and issue certificates.
- To answer your support requests.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Certificate verification
Anyone with a certificate ID can check it on our verification page. That check shows only the name on the certificate, the course, the training hours and the issue date — nothing else about you.
Who we share it with
- Razorpay, to process payments.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Video hosts (such as YouTube and Vimeo): lessons are played from these services, which may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
- Government or law-enforcement authorities, only when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded videos may set cookies from their host.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and learning data while your account is open. Payment and invoice records are kept for at least 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. Certificates stay verifiable for as long as we operate, so employers can continue to check them.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account. The name on an issued certificate cannot be changed (see our Terms), and payment records we must keep by law cannot be deleted. To make a request, write to support@example.com. We reply within 30 days.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored hashed, and access to personal data is limited to people who need it to run the service.
Grievance officer
If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, contact our grievance officer at support@example.com or the address on our Contact us page.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
